Terms of Service
Last updated: August 13, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the JobLens Chrome extension, website and companion web application, together referred to as "JobLens".
By installing the extension, creating an account or otherwise using JobLens, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you should not use JobLens.
About JobLens
JobLens is a job-intelligence service designed to help users understand job postings, prepare resumes and organise job applications. Its features may include extracting job signals, building and storing resumes, tailoring a resume to a specific job posting, scoring how well a resume matches a role, saving job opportunities, tracking application progress and providing related job-search tools.
JobLens does not act as an employer, recruiter or recruitment agency and does not control the content, availability or accuracy of third-party job postings.
Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 16 years old to use JobLens. By using the service, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
You are responsible for providing accurate account information, protecting your account credentials and notifying us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.
Using JobLens
JobLens may analyse the content of a job posting after you explicitly activate the extension. You remain responsible for deciding whether to apply for a role and for verifying information directly with the employer or recruitment provider.
You are also responsible for ensuring that your use of JobLens complies with applicable laws and the terms of the websites you visit.
Acceptable use
You must not:
- Use JobLens for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive or misleading purposes.
- Use JobLens to scrape, harvest, resell or redistribute job posting data at scale.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, modify or circumvent the technical protections of JobLens, except where permitted by law.
- Interfere with, disrupt, overload or attempt to gain unauthorised access to JobLens or its infrastructure.
- Use automated systems to access JobLens in a manner that places an unreasonable burden on the service.
- Upload or submit content that infringes another person's rights or contains malicious software.
- Use JobLens in violation of a job board's, employer's or recruitment platform's terms of use.
AI-generated signals
JobLens uses automated and AI-assisted systems to identify information such as sponsorship status, compensation, work model, contract type, seniority, relocation support and required technologies.
AI-generated signals may be incomplete, outdated, ambiguous or inaccurate. They are provided as informational assistance and should not be treated as legal, immigration, financial, employment or professional advice.
You should verify important information directly with the employer before applying, accepting an offer or making decisions based on a JobLens result.
Resumes and AI-tailored content
JobLens lets you upload, generate, edit and store resumes, and can produce a version of your resume tailored to a specific job posting. Tailoring works from the resume you provide: it reorders, rephrases and re-emphasises your existing content, and is instructed not to invent employers, job titles, dates or qualifications you have not given it.
Some features go further at your request. Generating a resume from a short description of your background produces a draft that may include placeholder or illustrative detail, and the optional "boost" step may add skills or keywords from the job posting in order to improve a keyword-match score. Where JobLens adds something that is not evidenced by the resume you provided, it flags it — for example in a warnings list or a list of added keywords.
You are responsible for reviewing every resume before you send it to an employer, and for ensuring that everything it says about you is accurate. JobLens does not verify your work history, qualifications or claims, and you must not submit a resume containing information you know to be untrue.
Application tracking
JobLens may allow you to save jobs, update application statuses, add notes and keep a record of the resume you used for an application.
This information is provided for your own organisation and reference. You are responsible for reviewing what you save, and where you choose to connect a third-party service, that service is governed by its own terms and privacy policy.
Your content
You retain ownership of the resumes, notes, tracking information, feedback and other content you submit to JobLens, and of the tailored resume versions JobLens produces from them.
You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, store, process and transmit that content only as necessary to operate, secure and improve JobLens and provide the functionality you request.
You confirm that you have the right to submit any content you add to JobLens.
JobLens intellectual property
JobLens, including its software, branding, interface, design, text, graphics and underlying technology, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
These Terms give you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable right to use JobLens in accordance with these Terms. They do not transfer ownership of JobLens or any related intellectual property to you.
Third-party websites and services
JobLens may interact with or link to job boards, employer websites, applicant tracking systems and other third-party services.
We do not control or endorse those third parties and are not responsible for their availability, content, security, privacy practices, decisions or services.
Plans, usage limits and pricing
JobLens may offer free and paid plans. Free plans may include limits on analyses, storage, integrations or other functionality.
Any applicable pricing, billing period, renewal terms and plan limits will be displayed before you purchase a paid plan.
We may change plans, prices or usage limits prospectively. We will provide reasonable notice of material changes affecting existing paid subscriptions where required.
Service availability and changes
We aim to keep JobLens reliable and available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Features may be unavailable temporarily because of maintenance, technical issues or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
We may add, update, remove or discontinue features as JobLens develops. Where a material change significantly affects an existing paid service, we will provide reasonable notice where practicable.
Suspension and termination
You may stop using JobLens at any time by uninstalling the extension and, where available, deleting your account.
We may restrict, suspend or terminate access where we reasonably believe that you have materially violated these Terms, created a security risk, misused the service or caused harm to JobLens, another user or a third party.
Where appropriate and reasonably possible, we will provide notice and an opportunity to address the issue before terminating an account.
Disclaimers
JobLens is provided on an "as available" basis. We do not guarantee that JobLens will identify every relevant detail in a job posting, that every extracted signal will be accurate or that using JobLens will result in an interview, job offer or employment.
Match and ATS scores are indicative estimates produced by our own scoring logic. They do not reflect how any particular employer's applicant tracking system will read, rank or filter your application, and a high score is not a prediction of any outcome.
Nothing in these Terms excludes any warranty, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable consumer law.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when you began using JobLens, or for losses arising from decisions made solely in reliance on AI-generated signals without independently verifying the underlying job information.
We do not exclude or limit liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation or rights that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer law.
Privacy
Our collection and use of personal information is explained in our Privacy Policy.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes to JobLens, the law or our business practices. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
We will provide reasonable notice of material changes where appropriate. Continued use after the updated Terms take effect means you agree to the revised Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
If you are a consumer, this does not prevent you from relying on mandatory protections available under the laws of the country in which you live. You may also be entitled to bring proceedings in your local courts where applicable law permits.
